About VEFT Aerospace Technology Inc
VEFT technology is the application of ejector technology to improve ventilation system performance and provide local air cleaning protection against the spread of pathogens via the air route between neighboring persons in densely occupied spaces . Applications include ejector and air cleaner modified diffusers, variable air volume control boxes, and air curtains. These modified components provide local air circulation and air cleaning at rates of up to 5 or more times initial air flows. Diffusers addressed include slot diffusers the length of the aircraft cabin and gaspers, both built-in and portable add-ons.
Technology Applications:
- Portable and built-in aircraft gasper ejector cleaner diffusers.
- Slot ejector cleaner diffusers.
- Variable air volume ejector controlled cleaners.
- Ejector air curtain cleaners.
Figure 1 Aircraft gasper ejector cleaner diffuser cross section schematic. This diffuser filters airborne pathogens from the air around a passenger. This gasper ejector supplies filtered air flows up to five times higher than the initial supply air flow, improving ventilation efficiency and enabling both ventilation air supply reductions with associated energy saving and improved passenger health protection against pathogen exposure. Personal Environment Airflow Controller, PCT/CA2007/00089 (WO/2007/134443). Patent pending.
Figure 2 Slot ejector cleaner diffuser cross section schematic. These diffusers typically run the length of the aircraft cabin. It filters/kills airborne pathogens around groups of passengers and crew. This ejector supplies filtered air flows up to five times higher than the initial supply air flow, enabling both ventilation air supply reductions and improved passenger health protection against pathogen exposure. Entrainment Airflow Control and Filtration Devices, PCT/CA2007/001125 (WO/2007/147259). Patent pending.
Figure 3 Variable air volume ejector controlled cleaner cross section schematic. It entrains, filters, purifies and circulates air from one or more locations (e.g. ceiling plenum warm air, occupant breathing environment), and supplies this air plus the initial ventilation air to conventional diffusers. This device is used to clean air surrounding occupants using conventional diffusers, and to maintain local air circulation rates under varying system supply rates. Entrainment Airflow Control and Filtration Devices, PCT/CA2007/001125 (WO/2007/147259). Patent pending.
Figure 4 Ejector air curtain cleaner cross section schematic. The device has ejector enhanced performance, air purification and cleaning, and air sampling (e.g. for weapon chemical signatures). This ejector air curtain cleaner can be used, for example, for passenger security screening, or for preventing entry of flying insects to cargo bays or fast food outlets. Entrainment Airflow Control and Filtration Devices, PCT/CA2007/001125 (WO/2007/147259). Patent pending.
